Little Green Light has partnered with Stripe, PayPal and ProPay to offer safe, secure payment processing. Nonprofit payment processing rates start at 2.2% + 30c per transaction. For accounts on our older pricing plan, LGL also adds its own fee of 1% per transaction, capped at $50/mo. For accounts created on or after March 1, 2022, and older accounts that have opted to move to our new pricing plan, the 1% fee is waived.
My nonprofit is based outside the U.S.
Can I use LGL Forms for donation processing?
Yes. If you are a nonprofit based in Canada, New Zealand, or Australia, then you can use LGL Forms with either Stripe or PayPal for payment processing. If you are based in a country not included in our list, contact support to see if we can add your country.
How can I receive nonprofit rates?
You can qualify for nonprofit rates by sending a copy of your nonprofit (501c3 or 501c4) designation letter along with some basic account information to your selected payment processor.
Is support included?
Yes! Our office hours are M-F between 9:00am and 7:00pm EST, and we respond to most questions within an hour (during business hours). In addition to email support, live Q&A webinars hosted by an LGL staff person are held weekly.
Can I publish the forms on my website?
Yes. Once you have built and published your form, you can link to it from your website or add a snippet of HTML code on your website to embed it. (Note that WordPress.com websites do not accept embedded forms at this time; WordPress.org-based sites will work just fine, however.)
How much are donation processing costs?
Fees for donation processing are charged by your selected payment processor (Stripe, PayPal or ProPay.) The costs vary by processor (Stripe charges 2.2% +$0.30 per transaction for approved nonprofits). There are no additional fees charged by LGL for accounts created on or after March 1, 2022, however, accounts created prior to March 1 are charged a 1% fee per transaction (capped at $50/mo.) Older accounts may opt in to the new pricing plan if it benefits them. All accounts will automatically transition to the new pricing plan in March 2023.
Will I be charged sales tax on my Little Green Light subscription and LGL Forms fees?
If your organization is based in a state where we need to collect and remit sales tax, then yes. As of September 2019, this only affects customers in Washington State.
