LGL announces official launch of new email builder

You may recall that we introduced an updated email builder in late October 2025 (see this blog post as a reminder). Today we are happy to share that this is now out of beta testing and is the official email sending solution in Little Green Light.

We are grateful to all of the early adopters who reviewed the updates and provided feedback. In December alone, LGL customers using the new email builder sent around 2 million emails.

How to enable the new email builder:

When you navigate to the Mailings > Emails tab in your LGL account, you’ll see a button to enable the new feature:

The key improvements of the new email builder allow you to:

• Schedule emails up to 30 days in advance
• Have improved control over style elements, background colors, and buttons
• Upload images from within the builder
• Edit constituent contact information from within the builder

Since the initial launch in October, we have added several enhancements. You can now:

• Use the new builder for email acknowledgments
• Size images using percentages to make them responsive to screen size
• Select from two system design templates:
  • The Standard Design template uses borders to stylize your email
  • The Simple Text template allows you to send regular text emails

When do you need to switch?

We will continue to support the legacy email builder through June 2026, but we will remove it from LGL on July 1, 2026. All of your existing emails, whether sent or in draft, will be compatible with the new email builder, so you will not lose any work you’ve done.

We encourage everyone who has not yet made the switch to do so soon.
