ProTip: Your LGL Forms now include a QR code

We just released a fun feature that generates a unique QR code for any form you create within LGL Forms.

Where to find your form’s QR code

When you are ready to publish a form, you’ll now see an option to download a unique QR code for that form:

Availability: This QR code option is available in most accounts already and will soon be available in all accounts. If you don’t see it yet, you can contact support, and we can make sure it’s available in your account.

Test out an example QR code

Try it out … scanning the QR code in the image above will take you to an example donation form we created. So if you’re looking at this on your computer screen, you can use your phone to scan the code and go to the form.

An LGL Forms QR code takes you to the page where LGL hosts your form. However, if you want to use a QR code to send people to a page on your website where you have embedded your form, you’ll instead need to generate that QR code outside of LGL, using one of the many QR code generators available.

How to use your QR code

Here are some ideas for how to use QR codes in mailings or events:

• Include it in your appeal mailings (letters) – Insert the QR code into the body of the letter as an image. Donors can then use their phone to scan the QR code and be taken directly to your donation form (it’s probably a good idea to continue to include a donation response card with your letters, though).
• Display it at your event – Print a compelling donation ask on a poster or tabletop display with a nice graphic and a simple ask, and include the QR code so people can easily get to your donation form.
• Check-in at events for volunteers or attendees – Create a very simple check-in form for your event, and use the QR code to make it easy for people to get to that form. If they’re pre-registered, all you really need on that form are fields for their first and last name.
