Four reasons to join the LGL Community today

Our new Little Green Light Community is quickly becoming The Place for LGL users to gather to ask and answer LGL-related questions of one another, share ah-ha moments, and make new and meaningful connections with each other.

If you haven’t had a chance to check out the LGL Community yet, here are a few great reasons to do so.

Reason #1: Exclusive Let’s Talk with an LGL Expert events for Community members

This month, we are kicking off a series of Let’s Talk sessions just for our Community members.

Each one-hour live session will be held right in the Community, and they will be “cameras on” for all participants so we can get to know each other. There will be lots of opportunities to ask questions of an LGL expert on a specific topic as well as chances to share your expertise with one another.

These informative, hands-on, interactive sessions will happen once a month between September and November. Topics will include Acknowledging Gifts, Data Cleanup Strategies, and Creating Fundraising Reports.

Reason #2: More ways to connect with members

We have recently enabled a new feature, called Connect, in the Member area of our Community. Connect makes it possible for you to find people who you have things in common with.

The member directory has been reimagined and provides three views:

• All members: Everyone in our community
• My connections: People you’ve already connected with
• Recommended: People you’re most likely to click with

Now it is possible to filter the member directory by both location and nonprofit type so you can more easily find members near you or who are working in the same nonprofit space. Be sure to add or update your Profile in the Community to add this information and take advantage of this cool feature.

Reason #3: More visible login option within your LGL account

Now it’s easier than ever to pop into the Community from your LGL account.

You can do so from any page in the application, simply by clicking on the new Community & Blog link in the top right corner of the page:

Just click the Go to Community button and you’ll be let right in! (If you haven’t created an account for the Community yet, you’ll be prompted to do so first by using your LGL credentials.)

Want to access the Community from your mobile device? Get the iOS app or the Android app for Circle Communities. (Circle is the service we’re using to host the Little Green Light Community.)

Reason #4: New LGL Community Bulletin

Earlier this month, we sent our very first LGL Bulletin to our Community members. The purpose of this bi-weekly email is to keep our members informed of Community happenings, highlight some cool tips that have been shared in the last few weeks, as well as spotlight some member questions that could use your input. It’s a great way to quickly see what’s been happening and hop in to add a comment or question.
